On the edge of the Fontainebleau Forest, Barbizon, a village of character located in the French Gâtinais Regional Nature Park and renowned for its pre-impressionist school of painting, will be hosting the first edition of
"BARBIZON, Parks and Gardens Festival.
It is in this exceptional setting chosen by Camille Corot (1796-1875), Charles François Daubigny (1817-1878), Jean-François Millet (1814-1875), Théodore Rousseau (1812-1867) who came to paint outdoors and "after nature", that this annual event will be held, celebrating plants, nature and biodiversity.
The first edition of this festival accessible to the greatest number (free access) will take place in several places of Barbizon thus allowing a rediscovery, under a new light, of this tourist site impossible to circumvent of Ile de France.
